If you want to change the World, start off by making your bed.

Do you feel satisfied with yourself when you’re going to bed at night?
Consciously or unconsciously, we all have a habit of taking a few seconds right before going to sleep to zone in on how we feel about the day we spent in terms of productivity, the tasks we completed, and the work that is still pending for the rest of the week.
This feeling can range from ‘I did so much work today, I am Super Man, I love myself’ to ‘I wasted another whole day, I will never amount to anything in life, mean girl Jessica from high school was right about me, I hate myself’. For a very long time, it was the latter one for me.
Every night I’d tell myself that the next day was going to be more productive but every morning, I would be lazy and waste the day again.
This turned into a cycle of being depressed because of unproductivity and being unproductive because of the depression due to unproductivity and so on…
Not to mention, the fact that more and more work keeps piling up makes it even more difficult to get started. Luckily, I found a way that ended this horrible cycle for me and I’m going to share it with you guys because I’m feeling generous today.
How to make the most out of your day.
You can ensure that your day is actually productive and that you achieve everything you want from that day, just by adding one habit to your daily morning routine. Now, let me tell you by experience which habit that is:

I came across this speech by US Navy Admiral, William McRaven. He explains perfectly why starting with this one small habit will result in you getting more things done during the day.
“If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day,″ he said. “It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task, and another, and another. And by the end of the day that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed.”
Forcing yourself to complete this little task every day will not only make you value the smaller things in life, but it will also make sure that you give yourself a positive thing no matter how everything else is turning out.
“And if by chance you have a miserable day, you will come home to a bed that is made — that you made.”
It's backed by science.
Research data from Sleepopolis suggests that tidying up your bed in the morning can result in an overall positive impact on your daily life. You feel much more accomplished and able to get stuff done.
I tried this for myself and can actually testify to the feeling of encouragement towards doing more tasks that McRaven talks about.
Making my bed in the morning put me in a good mood and set the tone for checking more things off the list. And before I knew it, making my bed became a sign that meant the day had begun and I was feeling ready to take it head-on!
I have yet to find a person who has consistently tried this and not found positive results. More than anything else, you’ll love the sight of your clean beautiful bed at night, inviting you to hard-earned rest after a productive day!
To help you in achieving that beautiful bed on your own, our dear Bobby has made a step-by-step video on how to make your bed as perfect as a professional’s. So, give the video a look and carpe that damn diem!
